That sense of freedom

Every once in a while, you see an image that is completely arresting and evokes very strong reactions in you. I happened to see one today. While casually looking at some desktop wallpapers, I was transfixed by this amazing pic - long rolling plains, with the golden-color grass and an occasional big tree. There are storm clouds rolling in the sky. Somehow I couldn't help imagining myself there, looking at the rolling storm clouds, being absolutely at peace and serene.

I can't imagine anything else making me happier than that. Somehow, that image - running through green meadows with wind running through my hair - always defined that ultimate freedom for me. I'm rather pleased to feel that I don't feel far from that dream. It's simple, and it speaks to me like no other riches do.

The freedom to dream your own dreams, do your own, meaningful work - peace through a sense of freedom, simplicity and feeling thoroughly blessed to be alive. It's amazing how a simple picture can trigger so many emotions. Needless to say, that image is my desktop background now. Looking at it brings me this enormous sense of peace and direction :)

images like those sometimes help us to retrieve the dreams we had once... but only a few lucky ones are actually able to follow their dreams and feel the freedom... for others it just another dream..!!

@anonymous - I think you mean "only a few brave ones" ;)

@varsha - ha ha. be careful what you wish for! ;)

nope... i stress on 'few lucky ones'... just being brave enough to follow is not sufficient.. there are other things around as well... and only the 'lucky' ones still find the way out to conquer it... :)

@anonymous hmm. please humor me and talk about these 'other things' you're talking about. I would like to know where I'm likely to go wrong with my theory.

Perhaps, I agree, things like family commitments will stop you from getting there sooner. But can they keep you forever?

Well yes i was referring to family commitments.. it is just a part of other things.. and ofcourse i am sure they wont keep us forever from achieving what we want... but they slightly dampen them though they might revivive later...
